Step 9 – Working With Your Loan Officer
Home Buying Process with Lucy Barraza
We have all the paperwork in, now it’s time to huddle together with our lender to get over the finish line! There are numerous required documents that we need for you to purchase your new home, and getting them to your lender is of utmost importance. I’ve even brought Glen Smart in from Nova Homes Loans, with the Smart Team, to give us some heads up and help us navigate these documents.
The mortgage industry has changed substantially since the Great Recession, with new rules and regulations designed to protect both you and the banks. I will be in regular contact with your lender and the seller’s agent to make sure we reach our milestones on time, but I need your help to truly be effective. When I send you a disclosure, I’ll need for you to get that back to me as soon as you can. I am here to make sure your home buying experience is as easy and fun as possible, but you have a huge part in that as well!
Certain tasks, like ordering and receiving the appraisal, rely on other tasks preceding them. This is where you come in! I’ll be working hard to get your documents and information to the proper people, and the more responsive you are goes a long way to helping me be as efficient as possible. New guidelines are coming and it’s going to be tougher tougher to meet a quick closing date if we’re not on the same page.
Closing is right around the corner! We’re almost there! One last push of hard work and we can get you into the home of your dreams! If you missed any part of our Tucson Home Buying Process, check the links below to catch up!
